Tech: Wilmer van der Gaast (Bitlbee)

Wilmer (homepage) spoke about his project, Bitlbee (homepage, Wikipedia). Bitlbee is an interface between IRC and instant message networks. It allows those who use IRC clients in a screen session to “always be online”, and log away messages for protocol’s which don’t natively support them.
