You need a strong talking point for the show, something to hold people's attention. Do your research before the show, stop musing and wondering about things that you had the opportunity to fact check. Have a main point for each show, and then some smaller side points and have references and news to back them up. Sequester expert people's opinions on these topics and discuss them.
